Thursday 5th March 2026 - Poppy and Pint, Lady Bay
Our recent La Ruta del Vino – Northern Spain evening was a truly special night and a beautiful first step in the journey of ¡Viva la Mesa!
Guests travelled with us through the flavours, wines and stories of Northern Spain while enjoying delicious dishes, lively conversation and a warm communal atmosphere around the table. From the first glass to the final bite, the room was filled with curiosity, laughter and a shared love of Spanish-speaking culture.
To end the evening with a surprise treat, the wonderful Más y Más duo joined us and performed a few songs for our guests. The music brought everyone together, adding an unforgettable moment of rhythm, singing and celebration that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.

A curated journey across Spain

Guests travelled through some of Spain’s most celebrated wine regions. Each wine was carefully selected to tell a story and showcase the diversity of Spain’s wine culture.
The menu was designed to complement each wine and elevate the experience. From garlic prawns paired with Fino Sherry to Vanilla ice cream, figs and walnuts steeped in Pedro Ximenez 'PX' Sherry - every pairing brought out new flavours and created moments of discovery throughout the evening. This wasn’t just tasting — it was experiencing how food and wine work together.
A highlight of the evening was the live cultural element brought by the Más y Más duo. Guests were introduced to flamenco rhythms through hand-clapping (palmas), creating a lively, interactive moment that filled the room with energy.
To enhance the atmosphere, we introduced a few simple Spanish phrases for guests to use throughout the evening - a fun, cultural layer that helped everyone feel part of the experience.

The Spirit if Chile
Thursday 4th June 2026 - Poppy and Pint, Lady Bay
Our Chilean Wine Tasting Experience was an unforgettable evening that transported guests to the heart of South America through an immersive celebration of wine, food, music and culture. Guests enjoyed a guided tasting of six exceptional Chilean wines, each expertly paired with authentic Chilean-inspired dishes (see photo of delicious Hake Ceviche), that showcased the country's rich culinary traditions. Along the way, we discovered fascinating insights into Chile's wine regions, culture and language, making the experience both entertaining and educational.
The evening was brought to life by the vibrant sounds of the Más y Más duo, whose live performance filled the room with the spirit of alegría—bringing people together through joy, music and celebration.
A highlight of the evening was everyone joining us for the Cueca, Chile's traditional national dance, creating a wonderful moment of laughter, participation and cultural connection. From the first pour to the final song, guests embraced the warmth and hospitality of Chile, sharing unforgettable memories.

Chilean Wine Tasting Journey
Thursday 4th June 2026 - Poppy and Pint, Lady Bay
What an incredible evening we had as we brought Chile to life through wine, food, music and culture!
Our guests travelled through Chile’s diverse wine regions, discovering six wonderful Chilean wines, beautifully paired with a delicious three-course menu inspired by authentic Chilean cuisine.
Along the way, we shared stories, cultural traditions and a few Spanish language insights, while Rikki and Dalila from the Más y Más duo brought the rhythm to the evening with their fantastic music.
A huge thank you to The Neville Arms for the amazing food and for creating such a wonderful Chilean-inspired dining experience. Also a special thank you to Laithwaites for providing the fantastic wines that took us on our journey through Chile’s wine regions.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us, shared the evening with us and embraced the immersive spirit and fiesta! We loved bringing Chile to you — and we can't wait to see where our next journey takes us…
