Our recent La Ruta del Vino – Northern Spain evening was a truly special night and a beautiful first step in the journey of ¡Viva la Mesa!
Guests travelled with us through the flavours, wines and stories of Northern Spain while enjoying delicious dishes, lively conversation and a warm communal atmosphere around the table. From the first glass to the final bite, the room was filled with curiosity, laughter and a shared love of Spanish-speaking culture.
To end the evening with a surprise treat, the wonderful Más y Más joined us and performed a few songs for our guests. The music brought everyone together, adding an unforgettable moment of rhythm, singing and celebration that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped create such a joyful atmosphere.

A curated journey across Spain

Guests travelled through some of Spain’s most celebrated wine regions. Each wine was carefully selected to tell a story and showcase the diversity of Spain’s wine culture.
The menu was designed to complement each wine and elevate the experience. From garlic prawns paired with Fino Sherry to Vanilla ice cream, figs and walnuts steeped in Pedro Ximenez 'PX' Sherry - every pairing brought out new flavours and created moments of discovery throughout the evening. This wasn’t just tasting — it was experiencing how food and wine work together.
A highlight of the evening was the live cultural element brought by Más y Más. Guests were introduced to flamenco rhythms through hand-clapping (palmas), creating a lively, interactive moment that filled the room with energy.
To enhance the atmosphere, we introduced a few simple Spanish phrases for guests to use throughout the evening - a fun, cultural layer that helped everyone feel part of the experience.
