Welcome to Viva la Mesa. By booking Spanish Conversation Group Sessions or Cultural Events with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. 

 

1. About us

Viva la Mesa provides Spanish language and cultural experiences, including:

  • Spanish Conversation Group Sessions (Entre Bocados)

  • Cultural Events (Encuentros Culturales)

All group sessions and events are delivered in person unless stated otherwise.

 

2. Bookings

  • Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • A booking is only confirmed once payment (deposit or full amount), has been received.

  • By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.

 

3. Payments

  • Prices are shown or provided clearly before or at the time of booking.

  • The Spanish Conversation Group Sessions require a deposit to secure a place, with the remaining balance due before the session starts.

  • For the Spanish Conversation Group Sessions, in certain cases (e.g. late bookings), full payment may be required upfront.

 

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Deposits for Spanish Conversation Group Sessions

  • Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure a limited space.

  • Deposits may be transferable to a future group cycle at our discretion.

  • Once a cycle of sessions has started, fees are non-refundable.

  • Missed sessions are not refunded.

Cultural Events 

  • Once we have received payment in full for a Cultural Event, the fee is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us.

 

5. Rollovers & flexibility

Spanish Conversation Group Sessions are sold as cycles (for example, 6 sessions over a term).  However, we understand that life happens. Where agreed in advance, we may allow:

 

  • Up to a limited number of missed sessions may be:

    • Carried over to the next cycle, or

    • Attendance at an alternative session time (e.g. evening instead of lunchtime

These concessions are discretionary and offered as a gesture of goodwill, not an entitlement.

6. Cancellations by Viva la Mesa

If we need to cancel a Spanish Conversation Group session due to unforeseen circumstances:

  • We will offer a replacement session, or refund the equivalent of the cost of one session.

 

6. Participant conduct

We aim to create a welcoming, respectful space.

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from a session or event without refund.

  • We reserve the right to refuse participation if necessary to protect the group or event.

 

7. Liability

  • Participation is at your own risk.

  • Viva la Mesa accepts no liability for loss, injury, or damage except where required by law.

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your statutory rights.

8. Intellectual property

All materials provided remain the property of Viva la Mesa and may not be shared or reproduced without permission.

 

9. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
